Defining new standards in fire detection technology Altair represents a new generation of high performance detectors fully meeting the high demands and requirements of the market. Optical, thermal and multi-criteria detectors incorporate a fully digital protocol, a new and advanced chamber and one shot moulding technology. A versatile range of detector bases are available designed for the installer providing widest cable access, shorting spring and loop identity tag.
The dust restrict chamber DRC technology ensures that large dust particles are retained outside the chamber whilst smaller particles - due to the unique chamber geometry - do not settle on the wall of the chamber.
The advanced moulding technology ensures 100% visual inspection and honeycomb shaped holes for superior insect immunity. The insect screen employs an extremely high open close mesh for optimum low energy fire response.
A1000 - Intelligent Altair Photo Detector
The A1000 intelligent optical detector is designed to detect early warning fire conditions from smoke aerosols and provide high immunity to false alarms. The device contains and on-board isolator and dual colour LED.
A1000 optical detector detects smoke by the Tyndall effect and continuously samples the air in the protected area to provide the earliest warning of fire offering at the same time a high level of false alarm rejection.
A bi-directional isolator is fitted to help protect against wiring faults and allows auto addressing on compatible control panels.
Up to 240 devices can be installed on a loop.
A3500 - Intelligent Altair Thermal Detector
The A3500 intelligent thermal detector is designed to detect fire conditions selectable from rate of rise or fixed temperature and provide high immunity to false alarms. The device contains and on-board isolator and dual colour LED.
A3500 detector supervises environmental temperature with low thermal inertia allowing the device to operate as an A1R or BS detector. The detector functionality either A1R or BS is selectable by the user
A bi-directional isolator is fitted to help protect against wiring faults and allows auto addressing on compatible control panels.

A2000 - Intelligent Altair Photo/Thermal Detector
The A2000 intelligent multi-criteria detector is designed to detect early warning fire conditions from smoke aerosols and heat and provide high immunity to false alarms. The device is designed around the digital Vega protocol and contains and on-board isolator and dual colour LED.
A2000 multi-criteria detector detects smoke by the Tyndall effect and supervises environmental temperature with low thermal inertia via a centrally placed NTC thermistor. The combined data of optical and thermal provides the earliest warning of fire offering at the same time a high level of false alarm rejection.
A bi-directional isolator is fitted to help protect against wiring faults and allows auto addressing on compatible control panels.

VCP100 - Intelligent resettable call point - red
The VCP100 intelligent call point has a resettable plastic element which has the look of glass. The element once activated can be easily reset by use of a special key. The same key can be used to remove the device's front cover.
